Agra Flooring International Ltd. , (formerly BCM Manufacturing Ltd.) is a Calgary, Alberta, Canada based company with over 25 years experience developing the finest grated flooring products for the pig and poultry industry throughout the world. Over the past twenty five years the company has flourished as its products have been accepted as the finest in the industry.

Twenty five years ago, the pig and poultry production business around the world began to grow dramatically to meet the needs of the rapidly-expanding world population. As economic conditions improved, the demand for protein sources from swine and poultry meats had grown substantially. The response in most continents has been to build larger, more efficient production facilities to realize lower production input costs. The larger operations are more efficient, but greater stocking densities put a substantial management emphasis on improved sanitation and hygiene to maintain low levels of disease.

The concept of raising livestock and poultry on grated floors where the potentially harmful contaminants found in the feces could pass away from direct animal contact is a fundamentally accepted concept in these intensive operations. The unique approach, and in fact, the revolutionary new idea that AFI promoted, was to manufacture these grated floors from polypropylene—a tough, non-corrosive, and reasonably-priced plastic alternative to the wood, steel, concrete and aluminum products that were being used at the time. It is an idea that continues to be well received throughout the world-wide livestock and poultry industries. Agra Flooring International has never looked back.

Today, AFI offers their new products to key distributors and dealers world wide, partnering with some of the best known and successful livestock equipment companies of the world to market the new products under the "Filter-Eeze" brand name for hog flooring and "Red Rooster" for poultry flooring. The company manufactures 30 different models of livestock flooring, and sells these products in over 35 countries around the world. In addition, the company manufactures some anti-fatigue flooring products for industrial and commercial applications.

AFI continues to develop new distribution outlets in export markets. The livestock industry is changing as the political and social climates change around the world. Recent years have brought new marketing opportunities in China, Vietnam, Russia and other countries that years ago were not encouraging North American business exchange. There have been dramatic shifts recently that have stimulated pig and poultry production in countries where there was little before. Although AFI continues to concentrate on the United States and Canada, a larger percentage of sales are becoming export sales. This is a result of their unique product lines, and acceptance in a large number of countries.

AFI has introduced a number of new products in recent years. The philosophy is to continuously improve agricultural flooring and related products.
